Simulations Week

Simulations Week: Where Leadership is Born

Mankind barely survived “the upheaval” two hundred years ago, but since then things have been running pretty smoothly for mankind on the world of Novus Spec. Five separate nations have built themselves out of the dust of the seismic catastrophe, and have grown in both population and technology. People from every country, who are interested in sustaining peace, have recently become uneasy at growing international tension that has arisen with the expansion of their neighboring nations. To evoke feelings of camaraderie, or at least mutual respect, between nations the first annual Festival of Novus Spec have been organized. Hailing back to the days of the Olympics on Earth, the festival is to be a time of peace, sharing of cultures, performances, and political calm.

Political representatives from every country will be attended and YOU have been chosen to join your delegation. Are you a warrior from the proud tribes of Indinlee? A priestess of Earth or a dictator of Prima? Are you from the high courts of the Hadlin Empire or a member of the good committee of Shinea? Whatever position you hold, remember to keep your wits about you. The festival isn’t as simple as it may appear to be. Every politician worth his salt knows that this event is really an up-close-and-personal chance for each country to display their strength and hide their dark secrets six-feet-deep.

First one to blink loses, and your country seems to think that you can stand up to the competition. Register now to secure your place in your countries’ delegation. This is not an event you can afford to be late to.

Anything is possible when you enlist in Simulation Week. For one week participants are dropped into a unique real-time leadership simulation carefully structured by multiple mentors for maximum impact. They are given a potentially life if not humanity threatening problem, and four days in which they must work together with their other team mates to solve. Optional meals are provided, so as the situation escalates throughout the week participants can, and often do, work through meals.

As they learn to work with, off, and against each other, the youth cultivate and discover new talents and skills  such as lobbying, talking to and around people, diplomacy, parliamentary procedure and countless other skills. At the end of the week everyone participates in the formal banquet finale, where the success of the group is presented for all to see.

Simulations Week offers an exciting variety of fictional scenarios designed to build your ability to make life-changing decisions, while practicing the art of leadership and successful group deliberation.  This fun-filled, “action packed” week is for every youth, and is set up to specifically handle each participants abilities.

Previous participants have said great things about simulations week:

“Simulations week is the greatest teenage intellectual adrenaline rush since war was invented!”

“It’s the greatest thing I’ve done since being born!”

“It’s changed my life.”

Please join us at this year’s youth leadership simulation.
